These Terms govern your access to and use of the Souq marketplace application.

By downloading, installing, registering for an account, or otherwise using Souq — operated by BIZPEPE & COMPANY MERCHANTS LIMITED ("we", "us", "our") — you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Souq is a location-based marketplace app that connects people nearby to buy and sell items, book local services, and message each other directly. Core browsing and messaging features are free; Souq takes a small fee on completed sales and service bookings.
To access certain features, you must create an account. You may register via phone number (SMS verification), email and password, or Google sign-in.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account.
Souq lets you list items for sale and complete transactions with nearby buyers and sellers:
You are responsible for the accuracy of your listings, including price, condition, and description.
Payments are processed securely through Paystack; Souq does not store your raw card details.
Souq deducts a small service fee from completed sales, disclosed before you confirm the transaction.
Prohibited items — including illegal goods, counterfeit products, and hazardous materials — may not be listed.
Souq allows users to offer and book local services, such as cleaning, tutoring, handyman work, and rides:
Service providers are independent and are not employees or agents of Souq.
You are responsible for arriving on time and delivering the service as described in your listing.
Bookings may be cancelled according to the cancellation window shown at the time of booking.
Souq may suspend accounts that receive repeated complaints or safety reports.
Souq's Messenger lets you connect with nearby users and invite friends to join:
You agree to use messaging respectfully and not to harass, spam, or scam other users.
Blocked users cannot see your location or message you.
Invite rewards are granted when an invited friend creates an account and completes their first sale or booking. Abuse of the invite system — including fake accounts or automated sign-ups — may result in removal of rewards or account suspension.
The App, including its design, code, wordmark, and content, is owned by BIZPEPE & COMPANY MERCHANTS LIMITED and protected by intellectual property laws.
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, reverse-engineer, or lease any part of the App.
The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Souq is not a party to transactions between users and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legality of items listed or services booked.
